It's true. I swear. I wouldn't lie to you. We had a make up game on Wednesday evening and our boys (and pumpkin of course) had their very first win of the season. We started out very strong in the first inning. All the moms were trying not to get too excited. We kept the score pretty close throughout the whole game. Of course our official scorekeeper wouldn't give out the details for fear of jinxing us. But we moms knew our estimation of runs was pretty close to being accurate. One or two runs may have possibly slipped past us because admitttedly we were all fawning ALL over baby G. Man is she sweet!!!! What woman doesn't melt all over a one week old little darling all dressed in pink I ask you? Anyways back to the game. Isaac played 2nd base and he had his game on!! He was getting outs left and right. Our team was hitting the ball and making it to base. Isaac got a double and made it in to home a few times. In the 5th inning (we play 6) Isaac was catcher. It was so bittersweet for me watching him play this position for probably the last time. You see his first year in ball...it was his favorite. He would beg coach to put him in as catcher. He looked so small that first year in all the gear. As the years have gone on and his skills progressed he was needed in the field. He rotates between pitcher, shortstop, and outfield most of the time. So I was surprised when I saw him getting all "geared" up. And that is when he made the play of his little league career. The other team had bases loaded. I could see our scorekeeper pacing back and forth. Nervous our win was gonna slip through our fingers. According to Isaac their best hitter was up to bat. The moms were all sitting on the edge of their seats. It was a real nail biter. Would our boys in the field make their play? The batter hit the ball. A pop up over the foul line. Wait what's Isaac doing? He's going for it. He jumped sideways into the air and then dove for that ball. It was like slow motion in the movies. And you know what? He got to be the hero this time. That's right he caught that ball and held on to it! He ended the inning. The moms went wild. You would've thought that we just won the World Series for all the screaming we did. A few minutes later we got the official confirmation that we did indeed win. the. game. Our boys ( and pumpkin) got to be superstars for the night. And you know what? They deserved it. Our coaches all agreed that this was Isaac's best game ever. He played it with pure heart. He was proud of himself but was quick to remind everyone that the whole team did it! GO ENT!!!!

ummmm....who is baby G, dressed in pink? and who is pumpkin....I am lost...LOL. I mus'av missed something somewhere...LOL
Pumpkin is the only little girl on our team.Everytime she is up to bat her gpa calls out "go pumpkin" or some equally sweet thing. She's pretty cute. Anyways that's been a running joke all season...that our team is the only one with a pumpkin. Baby G is the very (1 week old)newborn daughter of one of our coaches. We were all excited to see and hold her because we've all been hanging out with her very pregnant mama for the last 4mos. Plus she's a 6pd bundle of cute!!
